I grew up in the Somerset and ran away to London to seek my fortune, but became a performance poet and journalist, so no luck there.

I have been exploring and falling in love with the London poetry scene and the incredible people involved with it since 2015, and have learned to dread the question “So, what do you write poems about?” from friends and family, because I don’t really know the answer.

I have featured at poetry nights and performed at open mics across London as well as competing in the Farrago Poetry Slam 2017 national final after winning the Farrago Summer Slam 2016.

I will also be competing in the Hammer and Tongue Poetry Slam National Final at the Royal Albert Hall this year, after winning the Cambridge Hammer and Tongue February Slam and coming second in the Cambridge Regional Final.

My work has been published on Dear Damsels, with my poem 13 Things To Tell a Friend Who is Hurting appearing in the Dear Damsels 2019 Annual, and in the Spoken Word London Anti-Hate Anthology.

In my real life I am a senior reporter for Third Sector magazine, covering fundraising and small charities. Click on the journalism tab for more information.
